The Twin Continents - Amarant and Al-Khor

Once a single landmass, the continents now known as Amarant and Al-Khor were parted by a vengeful god. Refusing to fall prey to the despair and lonliness that plague the other islands of Déchiré, they have struggled to remain in touch even as natural forces carry them farther from one another. In the bright empire of Soledi, where scholars and philosophers compile treasuries not of coin but of lore, and the shadowed kasbahs of Khor-kha-ren, where hooded sorcerers delve ever-deeper into secret arts, knowledge advances as steadily as the continents themselves. Here, in the lands met first by each day's new sun, Déchiré stands at last on the verge of its Renaissance.
